This season, designer Christina Economou pairs classic silhouettes with soft, fluid fabrics to create a collection that is influenced by the relaxed sophistication and vibrant color palette of the tropics. Economou takes inspiration from her own wanderlust to create the Resort 2017 collection.

Using intricate brocades and luxe silks, Economou caters to the well-dressed and well-traveled woman who appreciates functionality and comfort. For example, she pairs a lightweight, brocade tangerine top with silk, multi-colored wide-leg pants, creating a look that exudes confidence and ease.

Bold, original prints have become a signature for Christina Economou. This season, the Cuba print is showcased in ruffle tops, playsuits and tent dresses. The Rope print, inspired by macramé, is utilized on a variety of trousers, ruffle skirts and dresses.

In tandem with these bold pops of color, Economou also provides chic, neutral punctuations of simplicity. The Mack, a sand colored, open-back top is paired with The Mack Pants, a wide leg linen trouser, creating a cool and sophisticated head-to-toe look.

Muted, silk cover-ups are layered over a range of playful, one-piece swimwear and bikinis this season as well. A curated assortment of denim and separates, that can be easily mixed and matched, round out the collection.

For Resort 2017, Economou is inspired by her own dynamic lifestyle. When she is not working on her line in her hometown of Athens, she is traveling the world looking for her next adventure. With the debut of her Resort 2017 collection, Christina Economou further establishes herself as one-to-watch.
